About Margaret Amerongen
Margaret has over 25 years of experience as a psychotherapist for adults, couples families, parents, adolescents and children
She has a Master’s Degree in Social Work
Margaret has intensive training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and has completed a Certificate program at the Institute for the Advancement of Self Psychology in Toronto.
She has extensive training in family therapy, couple counseling and parenting and child management from a variety of therapeutic frameworks.
She is a registered member of the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
For 9 years, Margaret was the Clinical Director of Integra, a Children’s Mental Health Centre that serves children and adolescents with learning disabilities and their families.
Prior to her work at Integra, Margaret worked for many years in adult and children’s mental health
Because of her respect for the depth and complexity of human experience, Margaret is committed to continual learning. Over the years she has participated in and led countless seminars, conferences and study groups.
